On the first Sunday of each month, there’s an especially easy to follow service booklet
which even tells you when to stand and sit! The service is fairly traditional but
the language is up-to-date. If you’ve been thinking about coming to church for a
while, but have been hesitating for whatever reason, why not come along and join
us on the first Sunday of the month? The service starts at 10.45am and you will
be very welcome.
Refreshments (tea, coffee and biscuits) are normally served after each service. This
is an ideal opportunity to have a chat and catch up with members of the congregation,
and also to speak to our Priest in Charge and/or Churchwardens, Baptism team, etc.
This service is held on alternate weeks - see noticeboard for details.

Communicant Christians from all traditions are welcome to share Communion with us.
St Mary’s has a Worship Group which meets on an occasional basis to discuss matters
relating to our services. The Group has introduced a Service Card for Baptism Services
and for services on the first Sunday of every month, which brings together material
from the Book of Common Worship in an accessible and easy to use format.

We encourage those having their children Baptised at St Mary’s to come along to a
Sunday Service beforehand and take part in a Thanksgiving Service. This service,
as its name implies, is a special service that gives you an opportunity to express
thanks to God for the gift of your child, to ask for his blessing and to pray for
his help as parents.
We also observe Saints’ Days and Days of Obligation.
